I hope everyone is enjoying their week! Here are a few pieces of information and reminders to wrap up the week.
We have a Box Top challenge going on with Willard North. The schools are battling it out to see which school can collect the most Box Tops. The winning school will get to see their principal in a dunk tank! We want Principal Miller in the tank! Send in your Box Tops! Tomorrow night is our Spring Concert. We will be walking over to the high school tomorrow afternoon for a quick rehearsal. Students need to wear their black Friday Shirts tomorrow night and be at the highschool at 6:40. Please use the "back door" to the gym. (The door that faces Willard East) After the students sing, they will return to their seats with their class and find their families after. Can't wait to see you all there! Today we talked about preparing for the MAP Test at home! Here are some tips that are VERY useful and are recommended.
These are good habits to be practicing all of the time, but especially during testing. Start practicing these habits now! Our bodies often get used to our old habits and adjusting to an earlier bedtime or get up time can be hard. One last thing- We are nearing the end of third grade quickly! PLEASE keep practicing multiplication facts at home. We are still doing rocket math in the classroom, but students need a little more than that to remember these. Don't stop practicing when they learn them all. Keep going over them! You can practice anywhere and knowing their multiplication facts will help students as they move on out of third grade! (AND ARE VITAL FOR DIVISION WHICH WILL START NEXT YEAR!!!) I think that is all for now! Have a wonderful weekend!
