MAP IS OVER! The students did a great job and worked hard. I am VERY, VERY proud of their hard work!
The last 4 weeks of school will be just as busy. Here is what we will be working on this week: Writing- We have finished reviewing writing narratives.We have a few short lessons we will review next week and then we will go ahead a work on our 4th quarter writing prompt, which will be to write another narrative. Reading- We will be working in our reading groups and I will also begin administering the DRA (Developmental Reading Assessment) to every student. Spelling- We took a little spelling vacation while we took the MAP. We will start back on our words for the next 3 weeks of school. We will be working on List 22. Math- We have been learning about fractions and comparing fractions over the last week. Next week we will continue working on comparing fractions and begin learning about equivalent fractions. Science- students will be learning about the life cycle of a plant. Other Announcements: Field Trip- This year we will be visiting the George Washington Carver Museum in Diamond, Mo on May 4th. The cost for the trip is $7. Your child should have brought home a permission slip last week. Let me know if you need another one or you can click HERE and print one off. Permission slips are due by this Wednesday, April 27th. Upcoming Dates:
