It's hard to believe that time can go by so quickly and that it is already the end of April! The third grade took the Communication Arts section of the MAP test last week and did a wonderful job! I even think some of them enjoyed it!
In a previous post, I had informed you that this week we would test Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday again. I was wrong. We are only testing Tuesday and Wednesday of thisweek! (EVEN BETTER!) Monday, Thursday, and Friday will be used for students who may need to make up a test due to an absence. This week in math, we reviewed some math skills that are likely to be on the MAP test for next week. Next week, we will try to do some normal activities on the 3 days we are not testing. The first full week of May, we should get almost back to our normal schedule. (excluding our Field Trip) Here are some other things going on this week: *Field Trip permission slips and money are DUE MONDAY, April 26. We need to let the cooks know how may sack lunches to provide for us on May 6th and get a check cut for us to pay Frontier Theater. My plan is to try to post directions to Frontier Theater later this week if you plan to meet us there. And of course, you may always meet us at East and then follow the bus to Marshfield. * We WILL be testing on Tuesday, April 28 and Wednesday, April 29th. *Mid-term links went out this last week for our class. It will be in your inbox (or possibly even "Junk Mail") from MasteryConnect. It will not be from "Carrie Letterman". Let me know if you didn't get it and I can resend your link. *As a way to celebrate the end of the MAP Test, many classes do a little something to celebrate the students' efforts. I have had some interest in a celebration at the end of the week to celebrate the end of MAP! Marianne Hill has offered to help organize a little something for the class and has given me permission to give her email address to you all if you are interested in helping out! We're looking at this Friday! Contact Marianne at [email protected] if you are interested in helping organize or donating something for this celebration! (You might put "MAP Party!" as your subject so she knows what the email is in regards to!)
