Please let me know if you have a conflict with your scheduled time and we can reschedule a new time for you to come and meet with me! Report cards will not go home without a conference being held. We have been busy, busy, busy! October is flying by and it's hard to believe that first quarter has ended.
Math- This week in math, we have been working on two-step word problems. We focused on breaking down the problem sentence by sentence and thinking about what operation we need to use. Next week, we are going to learn how to solve two-step word problems using letters to represent unknowns. We will begin learning how to write informational pieces on Monday! Social Studies- We have been learning about government and next week we will focus on the 3 branches and their functions. Announcements: Pumpkin Gram Sales starting Monday before school outside of the Nurse's office! Parent/ Teacher Conferences- Tuesday and Thursday after school. Principal Miller will be hosting an informative session about the new grade cards in the computer lab from 4:00 pm-7:15 pm. If you are having trouble receiving, understanding, or general questions please stop by the computer lab after your conference. Time Reminders will go home on Monday. Please be collecting money as you sell and turn it in with your order form by Friday, October 4th. Next Tuesday, I will start a Willard University class. It will be a mystery book club and will be MUCH more than just reading! It will also included doing some detective work, solving our own mysteries, and much much more! If your child is interested, you can sign up HERE. It will be Tuesdays after school until 5:00 pm. The cost is $25! Hope to see you there!
