This is the point in the year I feel like spring is so far away. We are tempted by this GORGEOUS weather and we just want it to be April/May and warm all of the time. I'm sure we're in for another snow or two but after the last couple of days, I would just like to imagine this is what the weather will be like from now on! ;) Hope you all got to get outside and soak it up!
This is going to be a busy week! Here are a few announcements for this week! First up, it is time for our annual "Change A Life" Fundraiser. We will be collecting coins for the Willard Children's Charitable Foundation. I was already in competition mode when I talked to the class and overlooked that this is NOT a penny war this year. We are just simply trying to collect the most coins- copper, silver, whatever. ;) If your child tells you that is not right, blame me. I will re-explain tomorrow! Willard East will be celebrating reading this week! We participated in reading the school-wide book "Stewart Little" and will celebrate with some fun activities all week INCLUDING Family Reading Night on Thursday! We have a few spirit days to help us celebrate reading! Monday is Hat Day! Tuesday= PJ Day (Rest and read!) Wednesday= Book Character Day (Dress as your favorite book character from any book!) Thursday= 70's Day (Reading is GROOVY!) Friday= Tiger Day! Book Fair: The Book Fair will also be going on this week! It will be open daily from 8:8-35 and at 4. It will also be open during our Family Reading Night from 6:30-7:30! Students may visit before school after checking in. They also must have money. There would be too many to let them just go shop around and look. They WILL get time to look around during their library time on Friday! If you send money, please send in an envelope or baggie with your child's name on it. Family Reading Night: Come and enjoy fun activities based on the book Stewart Little. Activities will be set up and open from 6:30-7:30 this year! Swing by and enjoy the fun!!!
