Here are some updates for our week!
Writing: Students are finishing up their informational writing about a space topic of their choice. As they finish, they will be able to start a Google Slide Presentation about their topic! (Using the information from their report) Reading: We will be reteaching and restesting over a few standards that were a little tricky on our 2nd quarter reading assessment. I will also be doing DRA's with SOME students before break. **I will not DRA each student. Only those right below or right on grade level** Math: This week we will be starting a new topic! This topic isn't one of our "major standards" for 3rd grade and we will be working with representing and interpreting data. This is a pretty short (and fun!) topic and we will test by next Monday. Other Announcements: Winter Party Our class party will be next Wednesday, Dec. 21st from 11:45-12:30. We will be having a pizza party and lunch in the classroom. Students will need to bring $2.00 each to cover the cost of the pizza. I have also included a sign-up for some other items if you would be able to sign up and bring an item for our party. Just click HERE. <--------------- I included a few items for our morning. We will do a little "Read-In" during our morning time and read some Christmas books and watch a Christmas movie (if we have time), drink hot chocolate, and eat candy canes. Don't feel pressured to come to this part. This is just part of our fun day that we can enjoy our class and Christmas before we leave for break. The REAL party will be at 11:45 ;) **Wednesday, Decemeber 21st is also a 1/2 day for students. They will dismiss at 12:35 for Winter Break. School will resume after the new year on Thursday, January 5th. Upcoming Dates: December 14th: Christmas donations due (if you signed up to help a local family in need, these are due on the 14th) December 21: Winter Party/ 1/2 Day December 22-January 4th: WINTER BREAK! NO SCHOOL! January 5th: First Day Back!!!! January 13th: Student report cards emailed to you
