I want to start by apologizing for my lack of communication for the last week. My daughter has been sick, so I was pre-occupied with keeping up with school, home, etc. (Why do I feel like I'm preaching to the choir right now? I know you ALL have been there, done that! And are probably PROS!) Now, the germs have attacked me...and Olivia is sick again. Go figure.
We had a great Valentine's party today. BIG, BIG, Thank you to Rebekah Brymer and Tahnee Puckett for organizing and putting it all together. The kids had so much fun and were left with an incentive to be good for the next few days or weeks! :)
Writing-This week, we will have our spelling test on Thursday, due to there not being school on Friday. AND because we haven't had a snow day, there also won't be school on Monday in observance of President's Day! Enjoy your week! It's looking to be warmer than what it has been!
Math- We have been studying geometry this week. Don't be nervous that there hasn't been homework. A good part of this unit is done on the SMART Board and we haven't had our usual workbook pages. We are ready to have another math test. As crazy as it seems, we are just in some shorter units right now. My plan is to do this Tuesday. I don't know how this will work since Tuesday will technically be a "Monday" after a LONG weekend. We may end up doing it Wednesday. No matter what, students WILL have a study guide and a decision by Thursday to review for our geometry test.
Science- We are wrapping up the water cycle and have made posters with a nice non fiction paragraph showing we know how it works!
I think that is all for now! Be sure to come to the Willard Tigers boy's game on Friday! It's Willard East night and we have some students involved that night and our Coach J. Wear your Willard East shirts (or any Willard wear) for support!
Mrs. Letterman is a third grade teacher at Willard East. This is her fourth year in Willard, but her sixth year to teach third grade!
