Happy Wednesday! I hope that everyone is having a great week! Thank you for all who came out to Open House. We had a pretty great turn out! If you weren't able to make it, I will be sending home slips for you to pick your top 3 choices for time slots for Parent -Teacher Conferences.
You should have received an email from Mastery Connect that links you to your child's progress and performance at this time. Here is a link to the Willard East Blog with some information on what this is supposed to look like, what is normal, etc. http://willardeastelementary.edublogs.org/ Friday is the last day for fundraiser packets. Please be collecting money as you sell and turn it in with your order form by Friday, October 4th. Next Tuesday, I will start a Willard University class. It will be a mystery book club and will be MUCH more than just reading! It will also included doing some detective work, solving our own mysteries, and much much more! If your child is interested, you can sign up HERE. It will be Tuesdays after school until 5:00 pm. The cost is $25! Hope to see you there! This week, we have continued to work on division and have learned some new strategies to solve division. Here is a link to a Learn Zillion Video that talks about how we can not only use an array to solve a multiplication problem BUT a division problem as well! http://learnzillion.com/student/lessons/51-find-a-missing-quotient-in-a-division-problem One last thing! Your student WILL NOT need a lunch on Friday, October 4th. We have a little lunch treat to celebrate a birthday! Be sure to read and practice multiplication facts at home nightly! Have a wonderful week!
