This week is already blowing by! I spent yesterday in a math CAP meeting looking at the new Common Core standards that Missouri will start using in 2014!
Today, students got to experience a magic show from a guest speaker to kick off Red Ribbon Week next week. Tomorrow (Wednesday, Oct. 17), will be picture re-takes. If you were unhappy with your child's school pictures and HAVE NOT cut them or passed them out, have your student bring them back to school and they can have their pictures retaken tomorrow. Thursday is our field trip to Frontier Theater!!! Remember to send a sack lunch with your child (unless they are getting a school lunch). Thursday is looking to be a nice, but cool, fall day. Please dress your child in tennis shoes and send a jacket. We will be leaving the school as close to 8:45 as possible and will return by 2:00 pm. The handbook states, students must ride the bus to the field trip, but if you would like to sign your child out, they may ride home with you from Marshfield. PLEASE do not take your child until you have signed out with the teacher. Students will be counted absent from the time you sign them out. If you do not have a conference time set up, please email or call me at your earliest convenience. Grade cards will be distributed at the conferences on the 23rd and 25th. Some upcoming dates to remember: Conferences - Oct. 23rd and 25th No School- Oct 26th Fall Parties- Oct. 31st
