YAHOO! Your students survived their first year of MAP testing and they did a fabulous job! I am very proud of them and the effort they showed during the test. Now that MAP is finished, we will go back to a somewhat normal schedule.
Next week, we will wrap up our Famous Scientist and Inventor projects. You are invited to attend the annual third grade scientist and inventor living museum. This will be held on Friday, April 27 at approximately 9:30 am. This is an early dismissal day and we will start the day with our monthly Tiger Pride Assembly at 8:45. As soon as the assembly is over students will be given an opportunity to gather any props or costumes they have and prepare for the museum. The museum will last approximately 30 minutes. Students do not have to go to great lengths for costumes or props. Mrs. Hillenburg's daughter did her report on Jane Goodall when she was in elementary school and simply carried a stuffed monkey. Ben Franklin may only have an old pair of wire rimmed glasses. School will dismiss that day at 12:30. FOR NEXT WEEK: Please send an adult, plastic hanger to use for the projects by Monday! Spelling will also resume as usual next week. We will start back with Unit 28. I think that is all the news for next week. Be sure to send in your volunteer sheet for the Carnival. Our room will be doing Wii games and need parents to volunteer. You do not have to work the entire night! Send your sheets in or contact Rebekah Brymer. Have a wonderful weekend
