I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving! It was a nice break to catch up on family and some much needed rest!
We have some things coming up that I wanted to let you know about. First, social studies tests will come home tomorrow. I have a couple of students who are making it up and I don't pass out tests until everyone has taken it. (Just to be fair) We will start a new science unit today on matter and energy. There are a lot of fun activities to do during this unit, so I think the students will really enjoy this unit! Food baskets start next week. Our class will collect canned soup. Look in your cabinets or pick up a couple of extra cans at the store this week to share with some families who need some extra support this holiday season. Our class craft day will be right before break. This is something the third grade teachers do with the students and for my craft, I need toilet paper rolls! If you would be so kind to save them and send them in with your child, that would be wonderful! Tiger Pride is this Friday, December 2nd. Feel free to join us! I think that is all for now. As always, let me know if you have any questions or concerns and have a wonderful week! Mrs. Letterman
