We are off to a great start in room 403. This week, we have been reviewing classroom and schoolwide expectations. The students have done a great job at getting right back into the routine of the school day after the winter break.
This week, we have also started talking about multiplication. Right now is a great time to start working on multplication facts at home if you are not already. Students are expected to know all facts 0-10 by memory so practicing at home is a must now that we will be using these facts daily in math. If you don't have a set of multiplication cards and would like a set, I have seen them at both northside Walmarts for only a couple of dollars for a set. Tomorrow is Tiger Pride! The Assembly will start at 2:30 in the gym. Tomorrow is also "mismatch" day! Students can come to school tomorrow looking like they got dressed in the dark and pay $1 for Costumes for the Community. Last month, East raised over $300 for a local charity and we're hoping for the same result this month. The class from each grade level that raises the most money will once again get an extra P.E. time with the always famous, Coach J. Last reminder, Monday students will NOT have school. Teachers will be using that time for professional development at the high school. Hope you have a great ending to the week! Peek below at a couple of pictures from the "Read In" portion of our celebrations on Friday, December 21st. (I posted from my phone and couldn't send the notifications from that device)
