Time has once again "flown" and January is almost over. Things have been busy, as they tend to get in the 2nd semester!
Math is huge right now in room 403. It's always important, but right now your child has homework EVERY NIGHT! It may not look like a worksheet that we usually do. They need to be learning and practicing their multiplication facts. We started division this week and in the days (and years) to come, it will be best for them if they have their facts memorized. Right now, it looks like we will wrap up math this week and test at the beginning of next week. This week in writing we wrapped up voice and will start exploring poetry. We are also looking at prefixes for our spelling pattern. Valentines Day is quickly approaching. Our party will be on the 14th at 2:30. I have attached a link to an online sign up like we did at Christmas. Students are welcome to create a Valentine box for their goodies. We will not have a contest but this is still a fun tradition if you have time. I will be sending home a list of student names so that students can use it for filling out their valentine cards. If you would like to help out or send in supplies, we would really appreciate it. You can find a link below for Volunteer Spot to sign up. Click the link to sign up! - http://vols.pt/SnPEXB Last but not least, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for sending in little donations for the class store. We will have our store next Tuesday. We could still use a few more items if you still have things to send in. Leftover holiday candy, cans of soda, small McDonald's toys, etc are all great and VERY popular. I think that is all for now! Have a great rest of the week!
