Happy Friday! I hope you all had a great week!
Math tests from Tuesday (or Wednesday if you have a Pioneers Student) went home today. If your child received below a C, please sign and send it back to school on Tuesday. Next week in writing, we will finish up learning the Writing Process and continue working on our community pop up book assignment. Reading is going very well. We have finished launching all of the activities for Daily 5. Next week, students will do the regular Daily 5 routine and continue to take their DRA's. Reading groups will start after all DRA's are given. Social Studies- We will be borrowing some writing time to allow us enough time to write the reports that go with the pop up books. We will have a test on Wednesday that will wrap up our community and geography unit. ** If your child is interested in Student Council, this section is important!** We had a crazy afternoon and after walking down the hall after dismissal with a colleague, I realized that I didn't send home information about Student Council reps. I have scanned the sheets and have attached them HERE. The information sheet is a little hard to read. I scanned it twice but it didn't help. Send student applications back to school on Tuesday if interested! Next week is the last week to send in Write a Check Fundraiser money! Send it with your student to school next week or stop by the office and use your debit/credit card. My parents rarely let us participate in the school fundraisers because of the headaches they can cause (and they were both teachers!) This is a great way to cut out all of the extra work that you have to do to earn money for your school using fundraisers. Remember, you can also collect money from other supporters as well! Have a great weekend! Remember , Students are out on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 24th. Mrs. Letterman
